Last month we experienced transmission trouble with our Forester while driving on the PA Turnpike heading to Erie (many dashboard lights flashing, yikes!) We got off near Greensburg and googled "mechanics near us." Little did we know that we had hit the jackpot when Performance Plus Automotive popped up - we called them, talked to Joe and he said they could look at the car right away! The team here, Joe, Dan and others went way above and beyond. They diagnosed the problem, figured out next steps for repair and helped us figure out where to get a rental car so we could get to Erie (local regional airport, fyi) AND Joe looked into our warranty and found out it had expired the day before....sigh... But he and Dan, who is a master certified Subaru technician, encouraged us to contact Subaru to see if they would cover the cost of the parts. They did!! We picked up the car later that week, drove home, and it's been driving perfectly since. Can't thank this team enough for their kindness, their skill and competence, and outstanding customer service. I highly recommend these caring automotive professionals.
